Hello Friends … and happy snowy Friday! I can’t believe we got our first snow yesterday. This weather is crazy. I’ve been busy [not busy] + planning for my Mom’s visit for Thanksgiving. Just the moving around of items + and preparing the room has been a task. I know that come January + I must get rid of some things. It was also a busy work week as this is the last week folks are in town before the holiday + so we’ve had double the amount of meetings. I say bring it on + so I can get them over with + and have a nice smooth December.
I also had a benchmark this week with my blog anniversary … and I look forward to sharing more good things in the coming year. Here’s a snapshot of last week.
Thinking about Thanksgiving … do you decorate your table? I haven’t done a full-blown tablescape but I really want to try something on a small scale. Here are a few ideas for your Thanksgiving table.
 Festive Tablescape + Jenni Kayne
Green & Copper Tablescape + Bless er’ House
Autumn Tablescape + In Honor of Design
Classic Table Scape + Style Me Pretty
Modern Thanksgiving Table + Anna Bode

Yes this week … and or Halloween ended with a bang … and me being under the weather again. I just can’t seem to shake what I’m feeling. Personally + I think it’s from a flu shot that I had on Monday + so come Wednesday I had body aches + chills + and nausea + thus mimicking the flu. This use to happen to me [when I was younger] every time I got the flu shot. Within 24-hours I would get sick + then as quickly as it came + it would be gone. So while I’m not feeling my best [because this post is late] I still want to recap last week. They were great days parlaying into a great week. [This is a day the Lord has made … let us rejoice and be glad in it] … now here is last week in my rearview.
My felt board sign that was part of my decor Our mini movie marathon for Halloween My monster rice krispie balls with chocolate and caramel drizzle Boo-Berries which are strawberries with white chocolate + and candied eyes One last bit of Halloween decor. Continue reading “Friday Bang!”
Hello my pretties…and Happy Friday. This was a short week for me as I took some time off to tend to a cold that was coming. I’m happy to report that other than some coughing + I’m in the clear. I’m also getting my flu shot soon. I know that most folks don’t believe in getting one + because they think its a waste of time. I use to be the same way + an then I got sick + it wasn’t necessarily the flu but it was enough. Since I’ve been diagnosed with Type 2 it’s mandatory + because when your sick it raises your blood-sugar + so better safe than sick I say.
I am giddy with excitement that I was able to start decorating + and most of my halloween decor is out. I’ve just been adding a few more small things + I’m really . never satisfied but at some point I just have to let it go + I’ll have next year to do it again. We are also seeing Halloween this weekend + and hands down it’s my favorite slasher flick. I’ve added just a few pics from Halloween decor + so here is last week + in my rearview.
This week my hair was actually cooperating My little Halloween corner + the big Halloween sign is from Decor Steals the other small one are from Michaels as well as all the pumpkins and hay. The throw is from Amazon it was only $5 bucks … sorry there is no link for that one. My dining table scape … I added some fake spider webs My little graveyard diorama in it’s cloche and My little shelf area + I added a little blurb from The Raven to the typewriter + and I’m hoping to get some LED candles.
