31 Days of Halloween: Day #3 …Haunted Mansion Halloween Decor
Hello precious, and welcome to Day #3 of the 31 Days of Halloween.
Halloween Quote
“It’s Halloween, everyone’s entitled to one good scare” – Sherrif Leigh Brackett
If you missed the series intro, check out this link to find out what’s in store this Halloween.
Today’s decor theme is the Haunted Mansion.
The images I’ve shared are mostly mantle decor but can be used throughout your house in any area. I would love to decorate my mantle, but seeing as how it’s only the size (or width) of a window ledge, it’s hard to do anything. I see decor as one of those flexible things you can apply to your liking in any area of your home.

Let’s break down these styles because they are all straightforward to recreate.
Gothic Motif Style #1
If you want to spend a little 💵 (and I mean a little), you can get this style by shopping at Amazon, your local thrift store, or Dollar Tree. It also depends on how big an area you’re decorating, but decorating a small area can be done on a budget. Items List |
Gothic Motif Style #2 This is Halloween decor for people who don’t care for skulls or anything super creepy. It can be achieved with dark flowers, branches, and a few pumpkins. Items List |
Haunted Mirror Motif This is another easy Halloween decor style, and if you have extras (like me), you can pull some of these items from around your home. One of the mirrors pictured is broken, so I’m not sure if you want to sacrifice one (LOL), but hey…don’t throw those cracked mirrors away until after Halloween. Items List |
Creepy Doll Collection This is one of the creepiest by far and probably the hardest to achieve. However, if you have a doll collection to display, or discarded dolls from the kids, this style may be for you. It’s one you won’t forget (LOL). Items List |
Haunted Pumpkin Patch Another style that’s simple enough, but unless you have these items on hand, this requires some spending 💵 or a handy DIY-er. Items List |
Ghost Gallery The ghost gallery style just requires a bit of creativity and some printing. Ghostly portraits can be found for free via Creative Commons. If you want to pay for a downloadable image, Etsy is also fantastic, with costs starting at $2.99 per image. Some old stacked books and the items you may currently have on display will set this vignette up nicely. Items List |
My decor board incorporates all the styles.
