That’s a Wrap! Time To Unpack the Month of August on the Blog

Hello friends, and welcome or welcome back to the blog!

Quote for today
“Autumn…the year’s last, loveliest smile.”― John Howard Bryant

Hello, beautiful people, and how are you today? Fall temps are coming soon …Amen, and I’m excited.  Family, (please) remember to stay hydrated (even as the temperature changes) by the time you feel the effects; it’s already too late. Get plenty of rest, and treat your body well.

Can you believe it? It’s September, and what a wonderful month it is. September is the month when I take some days off to decompress, possibly take a short trip, tackle some things around the house, make some good food, and put out some fall-themed decor. It’s also my daughter’s birthday and a time just to be happy that the hot, humid weather will soon be in our rearview.

I’ve had some good and crappy days in August, but that’s adulting for ya.  Life can be a bitch sometimes, but it’s also wonderful. Let’s take a look at all the happenings for August.

***August posts!***

Here is a compilation of August.  Click on the image to link to the post.

I loved it!

I did my best to keep my coins in my pocket, so my shopping was minimal.  Since I donated a lot of the decor from my storage unit, the only thing left was pumpkins and my door wreath.  So, I’ve been looking for just one more bundle.  AFlorel is my number #1 spot, but they are pricey. So far, I’ve only purchased two of these and some Autumn branches from Amazon. I got a few room scent sprays (they just arrived and smell sooo good…it’s Fall up in here…LOL). I ONLY get them from Abbey & Sullivan (🤲🏽hands down). They have the best room and linen sprays.

I also love (💗) these Amazon dresses, which I use as loungewear or (nightgowns).  They are cooling, comfortable, and don’t bunch when I sleep  (💗). These dresses are also under $20; I have them in 4 shades.  Last but not least, I’m also loving this Thieves Cleaner (made with essential oil) that has this warm and spicy aroma.  Great for all surfaces.

Maxi T-Shirt Dress, Amazon
Thieves Household Cleaner, Amazon
Faux Leaf Bouquet, Amazon
Burgundy Fall Leaf Stem, AFlorel
Room Sprays, Abbey & Sullivan

Articles I enjoyed last month!

I feel like my face is always in a book or an article as I’m bombarded with information for just about everything from home, to finances, health wellness and much, much more.  Here’s what I’ve been reading.

9 Best Clean Protein Powders For Women (2024)
17 Small Living Room Layouts That Can Make Any Room Seem Larger
How To Properly Clean And Care For Secondhand Clothing

Movies (🎬) and documentaries I watched in August

What I didn’t watch over the past few months I made up for in August because I did see a few good and a few that were not so good.

Quiz Lady 👍🏽 (I really enjoyed this one)
Movie Pass Documentary 👍🏽 (Great story)
The First Omen 👍🏽 (I did a post about this one)
This movie was well done and tied back to The Omen (1974).  It ticked all the boxes for me.
*****
Tarot 👎🏾 (All kinds of bad) Posted movies I’ve seen so far)
Abigail (meh)
Eternals 👎🏾 (I have no words)
Immaculate 👎🏾 (The poor mans Omen, a bit disturbing)
