The Wonderful Fall Season Approaches!

Welcome, and come on in!

🍁 Autumn leaves don’t fall, they fly. They take their time and wander on this their only chance to soar.” — Delia Owens, Where the Crawdads Sing

Hello friends, how are you?  I hope you are doing well, staying hydrated, taking some days to unplug, taking care of your body, getting plenty of rest, and taking your vitamins.

Yes, that’s the title. Fall approaches, but what does that mean exactly? For me, it’s like Christmas. It’s an exciting time as the weather gets cooler. We turn the clock back for the season, and the beautiful colors peek out of every bit of foliage, pumpkins, and fall spoils.

I love 💖💗🥰💞 going through my storage unit and searching my decor for what I might use this season.  I haven’t been there since March, so it’s always …”Hey…I forgot I had that.”  I’m bummed that I didn’t take any pictures of my Fall decor last year, so I can’t remember what my setup was or what decor I used. (What was I thinking). I have pictures from every year, but not in 2023. 🥺

However, Pinterest and Instagram are always great sources of inspiration. You don’t need signs that scream “Hello Fall,” but some pumpkins, branches, leaves, and dark, moody colors can set the cozy season mood perfectly.

I’m sharing my entire Fall Pinterest board, which is a compilation of styling, boards, shopping, and everything in between.

What to look for?

The cheapest way to decorate for Fall is to work with what you have by shopping your home and forging the rest. Before you spend money on those faux stems or leaves, check your neighborhood.

If you’re creating a vignette, look at your grocery store for pumpkins, candles, gourds, pinecones, and fresh flowers, which are cheaper options for decorating.

At Your local thrift store, you can find…
* Pottery and vases that can be spray-painted
* Old books where you can remove the covers to use as props
* Thrifted lampshades can update your current lighting
* Mirrors for creating a traditional fall style
* picture frames for old family photos or printed art

Grocery Store
* Seasonal flowers
* Pinecones for a vase or bowl filler
* Pumpkins and gourds

Art for free!
Well, it’s almost free. You must pay to print it unless you have a fancy printer that can accommodate large images (LOL). I take mine to the drugstore or Staples, but check on my link for Public Domain Art sources.

My go-to is my storage unit first; then, I can fill in with items from the grocery store, garden center, thrift shop, or my local consignment store. I’ve already pulled out some books from last year that have removed the covers and switched out some faux stems. I’m holding back on visiting my storage unit until at least August 15th.

Now … if you want to spend a little money, your sources are endless but here are a few of my favs.

Target
Amazon
Etsy (this is where I get all my printed art)
Magnolia
Marshalls
TJ Maxx
Home Goods
World Market

Friends, I’ll end this post here, or else I can spend oodles and oodles of time on fall decor.  I hope I’ve given you some inspiration and ideas if you like that sort of thing.  I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Thanks so much for visiting my corner of the world. I appreciate all the love and support. — Peace
