Classic Thanksgiving Table Decor for 2023
Welcome back to the blog today!
It’s a good day to have a good day.

Hello friends, how are you? I hope you’re making the best of the Fall Season, taking time to slow down, making stressless holiday plans, and giving yourself some grace.
It’s that time of year again …it’s Thanksgiving time. For some, it’s stressless because they don’t host (I miss those times). You either take a dish or volunteer to cook on-site or decorate and clean. For my daughter and I, we cook, and I decorate, which is a work of love for me.
My table is partially ready. The only other thing I add is fresh greenery or flowers. It’s still post-Halloween at my house, so I can remove the blackbirds but keep all the candles and little pumpkins. We’ve worked out most of our menu, so now the only thing left is shopping.
I always love the elaborate tablescapes I’ve seen on Tumblr and Pinterest but a classic simple table works for me. Here are a few things you can add to your table to make it festive.

Rosemary sprigs
Magnolia Leaves
Dried Orange Slices (really easy to make)
Table – card placeholders
Kitchen twine (can bind napkins)
My 2021 Thanksgiving table has been the best I’ve done, and I haven’t topped that one. This year, I’m only spending money on food and greenery because we already have everything. The goal is always to spend less, and with one big purchase coming in December, I need my coins in my pocket.
Well friends, I’ll end this post here. I’m really looking forward to settling in, having lots of wine, and making my favorites. What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Do you host? Let me know in the comments. I hope everyone has a great week, and I’ll be back with more Thanksgiving prep ideas. — Peace
Beautiful post 🌹
Aw thank you.
I’d like to try to bake dried oranges (or any citrus fruit) and decorate in our home, but I’m not keen on having extra roommates buzzing around or eating them. I’m going for a natural aesthetic this year. Any tips?
Oooh there are so many things. Mini pumpkins are great and if you soak them for 30 minutes in borax and dish soap, you’ll be able to keep the critters at bay. I know the rule of thumb if your ever using any elements from outside is to let them sit on your porch for a day before you bring it in. But leaves, pumpkins, acorns, fresh herbs, and soy tea light candles would make a great tablescape.
Oh thanks for the tips! I’ll try them.
oh and if you do try the dried oranges …they last a really long time, if you pack them with some parchemnt paper. I use mine during the Christmas Holiday.
