Movie Quote from The Conjuring
” The devil exists. God exists. And for us, as people, our very destiny hinges upon which one we elect to follow.”

In 1970, paranormal investigators and demonologists Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed (Patrick Wilson) Warren were summoned to the home of Carolyn (Lili Taylor) and Roger (Ron Livingston) Perron. The Perrons and their five daughters have recently moved into a secluded farmhouse, where a supernatural presence has made itself known. Though the manifestations are relatively benign at first, events soon escalate in horrifying fashion, especially after the Warrens discover the house’s macabre history.
MY RATING: (★★★★/hands-down)
I’m partial to The Conjuring Universe, and hands down, it’s the best and one of my favorite universes. Granted, the other movies woven into the franchise (i.e., Annabelle, The Nun, and Llarona) aren’t great, but they give context and a backstory to the movies. In my opinion, there isn’t a bad Conjuring. They are all done well and tie back to the original true-life characters Ed and Lorraine Warren. I think I’ve seen every documentary where they were featured, but one I really like is DEVIL’S ROAD: The True Story of Ed and Lorraine Warren.
WARNING: These movies are TERRIFYING. They will scare you, and you will want to sleep with the lights on because you will play what you saw over in your mind. There’s little resolve at the end, and if you think about it, the paranormal is everywhere, and …if that’s the case, so are malevolent spirits.
With all that said …Happy Viewing – If you dare!
