It’s Time to Wrap Up The Month of April!
Hello friends, and how are you …welcome to the blog!
QUOTE FOR TODAY
A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. ― Walter Winchell
Greetings and salutations to all the people. It’s May! How y’all feelin’? I hope you’re being productive, checking in with friends and family, staying hydrated, and taking care of your mind and body.
Here we are at the beginning of the month, and can you feel it? What I’m referring to is the months rushing by. Before you know it, it will be the end of Summer, and we’ll be welcoming Fall. So stop! Slow down, and just enjoy this time.
It’s been a busy month (for me) in the working world, with a meeting every week in April. I’m always looking forward to slowing down and catching up on some much-needed tasks. With that said, here’s what happened in my world in April. And so it goes.
A Round-Up of Posts for the Month
Vision (Idea) Boards for April
I really stepped outside my comfort zone doing a Spring Clothing vision board. I’ve always felt that the clothing I like is out of style because I like classic pieces and I don’t do trends or current fashion themes. However this year, I’ve seen a few styles that I like and see myself rocking these items for a while.
As for home decor boards, I can do those in my sleep. I love putting together different types of decor for the changing seasons.
Dollhouse Happenings
I have really put in more effort to work on my little house, so I’ve done some rearranging, and repainting to match the new William Morris wallpaper (scrapbook paper). I’m still shopping for a few items as well as my kitchen. But here is my progress so far.
What’s New in the Bedroom: I’ve moved the bedroom upstairs and made the fireplace and faux marble bottom with cardboard. The mirror on top of the mantle is from Mustard Miniatures on Etsy. The bedding is a combination of scrap fabric, and the striped coverlet is the original case that my own bedding came with, so my dollhouse and my real bedroom have the same bedding (yes I’m a weirdo)
I made the corner plant with some faux greenery and a (mini) terracotta pot from Micheal’s and used brown moss to mimic dirt. Soon I will DIY a nightstand and some other bedroom accessories.
About the sitting room: I moved the sitting room to where the bathroom was. The bookcase is made from cardboard and although it’s not great it was my first time making furniture. The plant behind the chairs I DIY’d, and the chairs are from Macy Mae on Etsy.
In the bathroom: I swapped the previous sitting room space for the bathroom. I’m replacing the plaster wall with faux bathroom tile. I’m also going to update the floors with tile as well as some other accessories. The rug and amber jar are from Mustard Miniatures on Etsy and the other vanity accessory is from Michaels.
See my dollhouse journey here! Other inspiration and DIY ideas are from Shrunk Magazine.
All The Shows
The month of April was interesting for movies and TV. I always think I’ll watch more, but my book reading has taken over TV during this time. Here’s what I watched and completed.

Books this Month
For some reason, Slash-Her: An Anthology of Women in Horror is moving really slowly. Again I struggle with the short stories, and I’m still only about 29% into the book. However, my audible (or Libby) book reading has been like lightning. I’ve read The Verifyiers, Wilder Girls, and The Silent Patient. I’ve also just started In A Dark Dark Wood, and The Exorcist Legacy: 50 Years of Fear.

My Printable Section
I’m hoping to get the May calendar finished ASAP, but some of the time the blog takes a backseat when I have other work to do, but I’m working as fast as I can. So check out the “free downloads” section on the blog for other goodies and free templates.
Podcast Series Update
Still working to bring you a podcast every Sunday but sometimes it just doesn’t happen. But in the meantime, and in-between time I’ve updated the entire series added new cover art, and changed the name. It’s not very original but for now, it’s called “A Creepy Story” podcast. More to come on this and the name may change again.
SEASON 2: Creepy Stories, Gothic Tales, and Lore
A Sincere Warning About The Entity In Your Home
