31 Days of Halloween: Day #25 … My Favorite Horror Movie Universes to Binge
Welcome back to my 31 Days of Halloween series. Today is Day #25, and I’m listing the best Horror franchises to binge.
Not all horror franchises are worth their weight (so to speak), and in several instances if the first one is a dud, then your not going to give the second flick a chance. When you have so many choose from it’s hard to know where to begin so I wanted to list my favorite movies that I keep going back to watch time and time again.
As you know a movie franchise is a collection of related films in succession that share the same fictional universe, or are marketed as a series. Movies (of course) are a matter of taste, and what genre of horror you like is up to you. I’m including a just a few but hopefully covering a wide spectrum. I’ll include the trailer from the first movie of every franchise I list.

Final Destination Universe (5 Films)If you have a premonition that you’re going to die, you may as well let it happen, because Death is going to get you one way or another, and it’ll probably be painful. The “Final Destination” movies are slashers of sorts with a most unusual villain: Death itself. You see, Death has a plan, and interrupting the plan will only buy you a little time before Death comes back with a vengeance. The Conjuring Universe (8 Films)STORYLINE: What began with the paranormal investigation of a possibly haunted house has become a sprawling franchise that includes evil dolls, demonic nuns, and even more on the way, providing big thrills for fans of supernatural horror. Paranormal Activity Universe (6 Films)STORYLINE: The films are based around a family haunted by a demon that stalks, terrifies and ultimately murders several members of the family and other bystanders during the course of the films. The series makes use of production cameras set up and used like security cameras or other recording devices in an attempt to present the films as found footage. [Source Wikipedia] |

Scream Universe (4 Films, 5 Coming January 2022)STORYLINE: The main plot involves a psychopathic serial killer wearing a Halloween costume attempting to kill Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and various other characters involved in her life. Each film begins with the gory murder of two people and takes off from there leading to the revelation of the killer’s identity and the final battle between Sidney and the killer. (Scream Wiki) |

Out of the franchises I’ve listed, The Conjuring and Paranormal Activity would be the scariest, so if your not a true horror fan, you’ll want to watch those with the lights on. LOL.
