Fall

Television Shows That Will Give You Autumn Vibes

Hello friends and subbies!  Welcome to the blog today.

Hello to my people!  It’s Wednesday, it’s September and all is well.  I hope everyone is having a great week so far, amongst the busyness of school, work and all the things.

Today I’m sharing a few shows to give you some Autumn vibes.  This list has changed a bit from last year as I’ve taken out a few old, and added in some new things, that I hope you will enjoy.

This is not a list of “What To Watch Fall”, as everyone’s taste is different and I don’t want that pressure. (LOL) These shows are set in a perpetual state of the Fall and embody the color, warmth and coziness that comes at this time of year. With small picturesqe towns, where everybody knows your name, and more fall foliage than you can handle, there is this romanticism and escape from our current environment.

They center around families or one indivdual’s experence with every life.  Some are creepy, some center around murder in a small town, or the unknown.

FALL shows autumn vibes

Gilmore Girls (Netflix)

(7 Seasons, plus A Year in the Life)
SYNOPSIS

A dramedy centering around the relationship between a thirtysomething single mother (Lorelai), and her teen daughter (Rory), set in the storybook town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. Populated by an eclectic mix of dreamers, artists, and everyday folk, this multigenerational drama starts out in Fall with the season-ending right at Summer.

Gilmore Girls is about family and friendship as it centers around the mother-daughter dynamic and eccentric, well-off parents who always have something to say about their daughter’s life. (Source Google & IMBD)

Twin Peaks (Hulu)

(2 Season, 1990, 2017)
SYNOPSIS

A crime drama mixed with healthy doses of the surreal, this series is about FBI Agent Dale Cooper, who travels to the small logging town of Twin Peaks to solve the murder of seemingly innocent high schooler Laura Palmer. Almost nothing is as it seems, however, and the show’s sometimes eerie visuals, oddball characters, and wild dream sequences drive the point home. [Source IMBD]

SYNOPSIS

In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits. As they search for answers, the children unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries. (Source IMBD)

Their thoughts that this seems too good to be true soon materialize when they discover that the house is also home to the ghosts of its previous inhabitants. The Haunting of Hill House (Netflix)

(2 Installments)
SYNOPSIS
Flashing between past and present, a fractured family confronts haunting memories of their old home and the terrifying events that drove them from it.

Goosebumgs (Netflix)

(4 Seasons)
SYNOPSIS

This live-action series based on R.L. Stine’s award-winning book series places average kids in a weird alternate reality, where they find themselves facing such situations as haunted amusement parks, possessed Halloween masks and other bizarre and frightening scenarios.

I know fall is not all about watching copious amounts of television but it’s something about these shows that hold memories for me and my favorite time of year.

What are some of your favorite TV shows to watch in the fall? Are they up and coming, or vintage TV?  Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
