It’s September: Spirit of Fall List
Hello friends and subbies! We have arrived at September.
I am over the moon happy, now we just have to wait for the weather to catch up. In reality we don’t get any “real” fall days until October, but no matter we are here.
This month I’m posting everything for the Fall season, and today is Spirit of Fall List: City Edition. It’s early yet so there are no leaves to jump in, no hot drinks I really want, and everything else is unaccesible when your in DC. But you can find some the more popular spots in Virginia or Maryland, but with the state of things everyone might not be comfortable going back to normal.
The “popular” name for my list is called a “Bucket List” and it’s very on-trend on social media for folks to make lists and call them … “My Bucket List.” (for Fall, Halloween, Christmas, etc.) Is it just me or is that crazy. I don’t think of apple picking and a hayride as something I need to do before I go on glory, but l also don’t think folks realize what a bucket list really is.
A “Bucket List” is a list of things you want to do before you die, leave this earthly plain or …”Kick the Bucket“. Trust me you don’t want to know the actual 16th Century meaning for it, so I will leave it there.
A few years ago I came up with what I call a Spirit of Fall List: City Edition, which seems appropriate and not so matter-of-fact. It’s also appropriate for the city that I live in, and most major cities. So here we go.
Over the past 3 years I’ve only been able to do 6 to 8 things on this list, as time would no permit to complete the whole thing. I think what you decided to do is subjective and completely up to you, but have fun with it. Don’t think about posting it, or blogging it, just enjoy.
Thanks so much for visiting the blog today. Don’t forget to follow and subscribe, and have a great rest of your day. — Peace —
