12 Days of Christmas … Day #3, DIY Holiday Ornaments
Hello friends and “Welcome” to the blog today. Today is Day #3 in this 12 Days of Christmas series, and I have DIY Ornaments.
——-
I decided pretty early on that I would change up my holiday theme for 2021 and my colors are going to be black, white, and soft pink. So I thought I would make some custom ornaments.

Supplies
1. Clear plastic bulbs
2. Paint
3. Ribbon
4. Brushes
5. Scissors
I first saw this DIY on (Just Destiny Mag Blog) and I thought… WOW, that’s a great way to customize your colors, and I can’t wait to try this. Here’s what I did.

Took the tops off the bulbs, and for the marbled bulbs, I drizzled colored paint first inside the bulb. I waited for about 30 minutes (so the paint was semi-dry).
Then I poured in the black paint, once I poured the desired amount I shook the bulb (holding the top with a napkin) until the black completed covered the inside leaving really nice swirls of pink and white.
After I turned the bulb upside down to let the paint run out and dry. This about a day. Then I added some pretty ribbon, and that’s it!
NEXT TIME: I’ll remember to add a little water to your acrylic paint so it’s a little runny. It took A LOT of shaking to cover the bulb. The one that I didn’t marbleize I added little flecks in pale pink.
Overall I loved the way it turned out, and now I have more ornaments to add to my theme.
