MONDAY: Where Has the Time Gone?
Hello to all my lovely people, and Welcome to the blog!
If this is your first time, I’m glad stopped by, and I hope you consider subscribing. If your already part of the family … Welcome back.
Unfortunately today there will be no narration (lol or podcast) because I just didn’t have enough time to record, among other things. So this post will be like an update, because I will not be able to post anything on this coming Friday.
I feel like I’m almost there … and yes I’m talking about packing and moving. (If you didn’t know…LOL) It has really taken over everything, but I’ve made progress.
This ride has been stressful-crazy-beautiful and I don’t know if I could have planned it any better, or any other way. I’m accepting the change of what’s happening and adapting the best way I can … turning “what are we going to do”, into … “let make it work”.
** Other Moving Posts **
The Condo
I’ve cleared out my bedroom except for clothes and toiletries, and I’ve moved all my miscellaneous things. I’ve emptied out half of the living room, and all my closets.
My situation is unique in that I’m not moving out but up, so I’ve gotten away with NOT packing everything and just rolling things up on a garden cart.
I’ve held off on the kitchen and bathroom mostly because my lovely daughter hired cleaners to come out to the new spot. Once that’s done I’ll spend the day before we move the furniture setting up the kitchen, bathrooms, waiting for cable installation, and some last minute laundry. (Yes I know it’ s a packed day.)
I’m trying to make sure that I eat complete meals, take my vitamins, my medicine and get rest because at the end of every day my ankles are a little tender from the walking. (Speaking of walking … I’ve been getting a minimum 12,000 steps per day for the past week.)
Shopping
Friday … I thought I would check out Bed, Bath & Beyond for bathroom rugs, because I couldn’t size rugs properly on Amazon. Come to find out the location in downtown DC is closing so EVERYTHING was is 30-70% off.
I got 4 bath rugs and two storage bins for $47 which is a steal. The pink rug is UGG, originally priced at 49.99 for $6.78. (AMAZING!).
Saturday … I moved boxes all day (taking short breaks in between), clearing out my bedroom, and starting on living room.
Sunday … I made (what I think will be) my last run at the store. Stopping by the pet store (my Trinity has so much anxiety from all the boxes everywhere), and Home Depot to get another storage rack (that I mentioned on Friday), more shelf liner, mattress bags and stretch wrap.
I even had time to make Sunday dinner which was very productive. Today I’m going to move items from the coat closet, and some things from my dining room. I ordered my farmhouse-style dining chairs so they will be here by Wednesday, and I’m excited. I’m still going back and forth with a dining rug, but at this point whatever doesn’t get done will have to wait.
Lesson Learned From Last Week
Each week I take the lessons learned; good and bad, to carry with me, and use them as a tool for experiences to come. I’m not perfect, and I don’t aim to be perfect, I only want to be true to myself, and except these new experiences in my life, because every day is a blessing.
Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
With that I’ll end this here. Again … thanks for hanging with me today, and if you haven’t subscribed to Life by Wyetha, then get on it … and join the family. I would love to have you at my virtual table … and as always. — Know Thyself —
