March Roundup (Favorites)
Hello friends and happy Wednesday. I’m here with my March favorites, and I can say that I’ve actually gone through most of the products which never happens. Usually, I’m only half or a third of the way finished but last month due to allergies and my dry skin I blazed through most of what I was using. Here are my “almost empty” favorites for March.
[1] Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Mask | Not only was my skin dry but so was my scalp so my hair suffered because it seemed like I just couldn’t hydrate my curls. Usually, the scent of Shea Moisture products turn me off because they’re so strong, but the scent of this mask was actually pleasant. I use this right after my shampoo, and I let it sit with a cap for about 30 minutes. You could also sit under a dryer. I think the mask is most effective about twice a month or more if you’re applying heat when you style. This 1 packet worked for two applications and my hair just covers my ears and the middle of my neck. The size was perfect for me without committing to the whole jar … just in case I didn’t like it.
[2] Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil | My daughter and I killed this … we really enjoyed this oil. It smells fantastic and it’s great after a shower or just for daily use. I wouldn’t recommend putting on right after the shower but your skin should be damp. Because I’ve been having problems with itchy skin I would use a lotion and put the oil on top which may seem like overkill, but it absolutely works. This oil absorbs right into my skin, and it’s not greasy and leaves no residue and best of all … it didn’t rub off when I put on my clothes. Hands down we just love it. My only complaint … they need to make the bottle bigger because 8oz. for two people goes quick.
[3] NYX Control Freak Brow Gel | I’m not very picky when it comes to brow gel, but I was looking for a cost-effective alternative to Benefit’s “Gimmie Brow’ [which I love] but at $25 it can be steep. [I can save that for a face Serum I really want] I just wanted something that would give me “like” results. While it’s not the same … it gets the job done, but I also think the applicator brush doesn’t hold that much gel because you really don’t need that much to keep them in place. My brows are pretty tame so this goes a long way for me, and at $4 dollars is a steal.
[4] Health-Ade Kombucha | I am completely hooked on Health-Ade’s Kombucha, and while I’ve only had one other brand my experience with that was awful. It was expensive and I really don’t like to waste my money. My daughter turned me on to Health-Ade and I tried the Pink Lady Apple. It was actually really good, and I’ve been drinking it ever since. If you’ve never had Kombucha here is a little backstory.
Kombucha is a sweet, fizzy drink made of yeast, sugar, and fermented tea. It has a number of potential health benefits, including gut health and liver function. [source: Medical News Today]
Health-Ade is the brand I’m sticking with simply because it actually tastes good. I’ve tried the Pink Lady Apple, Maca Berry, Pomegranate, Blood Orange-Carrot-Ginger, Bubbly Rose, and the Cayenne Cleanse [be careful with this one … it’s really hot, and it flushes everything]. It’s definitely worth trying if you’re looking for a carbonated alternative and it’s available at your local grocery and big box store, in a variety of flavors.
[5] Workouts for Women | I’ve been using this app for 3 months so note that this is not just a March favorite because I’ve been using this since January. I’m a person that doesn’t really care for exercise, but for me, it’s a matter of my health, and when it comes to my health, I mean business. I came across this app while searching for something that I could do in 15 minutes. While that have workouts that vary in duration and type I’ve found a series of workout that is perfect for me. My clothes fit better, I have some muscle tone, and I know it’s working overall because of my lower AIC test results last week that is measured over a 3-month period. I only do these workouts 3-times per week and I vary between arms, abs, and legs.
Thanks so much for checking out my March favorites. Don’t forget to “like”, “comment”, or subscribe. — Peace —

I love the Health-Ade Kombucha, my favorite flavors are the beet and maca berry, they are so good. It was hard for me to get into Kombucha but that brand helped because it was so good. Thanks for the app, I will check that out 🙂
I’m so hooked if you can find the Bubbly Rose try it … it’s so good.
