April 30-Day Challenge
Hello friends and happy Wednesday. I’m back with an update on my March 30-Day Challenge and my challenges for April.
TAKE 20 PICTURES THIS MONTH – Yay! I definitely made my goals this month, and then some. Being the perfectionist that I am … I have widdled this down to about 20. This was a fun challenge that has helped me get back into the groove of taking pictures weekly.

COMPLETE A DIY PROJECT – Another win-win! I completed 2 DIYs this month and I’m happy about that. It’s not that these projects are hard, it’s just getting out of that lazy mindset, and getting it done. I’ve already started another DIY for April and I have so many lined up so I’m happy with my progress.
COMPLETE ONE PROJECT IN MY DOLLHOUSE – Whomp-Whomp … I didn’t get around to this at all, so I did fail at this one. Which I’m ok with because I know that I can’t do everything, and there will be some things that I fall short on. This was one of those unrealistic goals because I’m already taking more pictures, completing DIYs, and reading for my Good Reads Challenge … and the list goes on. So I’ll take the loss, and try again next month.
WRITE ONE JOURNAL ENTRY PER WEEK ON PENZU – While I did complete one entry I feel short for the rest of the month. I really can’t make any excuses for not finishing this challenge. Each morning have about an hour of free time, so there were absolutely no excuses. Each week I would sit down to write and then get distracted so I know that I need to do better at focusing my brain on one task at a time.
For the month of April … I’m doing something different. NO NEW CHALLENGES! This is because I really need to commit to the last three months and get those down before I move on to anything else. I’m still falling short on my sleep, and yoga for the week, as well as exercise which is not listed. Last month I also fell short on my journal entries, and I haven’t met my savings goals, so for this month, I just want to focus on the last 3 months before I incorporate any new challenges.
— Here is a recap of the last 3-months —
MARCH
◈ Take 20 photos this month
◈ Complete a DIY project
◈ Complete one project in my dollhouse
◈ Write one journal entry per week on Penzu
FEBRUARY
◈ NO eating after 10pm
◈ 7K steps 5-days a week
◈ Save $100
◈ Min of 7 hours of sleep on week-nights
JANUARY
◈ NO Starbucks
◈ NO soda or juice
◈ Save $100
◈ Yoga 3-times per week
This month was good and bad, and while I don’t expect that I will complete everything, I don’t want to have unrealistic expectations of what I can accomplish. So if you fell short on your monthly goals … don’t be hard on yourself because it happens to everyone.

So doable for you. You got this!
Aw…Thanks Love!
I’m with you on this. I’m thinking of pausing on adding any new challenges this month. I’m catching up on work assignments, so I’m not posting this week. I’ll do a recap of my goals and just focus on them for now. And still apartment hunting ?
Wow, I love all of your challenge ideas! This is motivating me to come up with some challenges of my own. i’ve always struggled with following through with my ideas and goals, but I think a huge part of that is not writing them down hahaha. And good for you for pausing on challenges this month! <3 Much love to you!
Thanks so much. I don’t expect that every month will be hard, I know that part of these goals is just learning new behaviors and adapting to them. I want to get to the point where I just do them without thought.
Yesss that is the ultimate goal! <3
I know it can be stressful, but good luck. I hope you find something just right for you.
I love that all the challenge you set are quite realistic. I never looked at it from that point. great post. I will set myself some challenges soon.
I think it’s a good way to ease into incorporating some healthy habits, without the full commitment. Just do 30 days at a time, and if it works keep doing it, if not modify your goals and make it work for your needs.
Pretty cool 30-day challenge. I hope you were able to do everything on your list!
Kendra?
I did get through most things and the others that I didn’t … I’m not gonna stress because I have the entire month of April to make sure I can get to everything.
I would fail year after year when trying to stick to New Year’s resolutions. It’s just too many things to concentrate on at one time, so I figured, if I can do just one or two things for 30 days, that would be great, because some goals sound good in your head and look great on paper, but they are not realistic. Breaking this up one month at a time is something I can swing.
