I am absolutely in love with Mario Badescu products [most of them]. I’ve found their facial sprays + toners + and cleansers work wonders with my skin. The facial spray was especially helpful + and soothing when my acne would flare. On Mothers Day my lovely daughter gave me a gift certificate … and well … time for shopping.
What’s in my haul….
Facial Spray w/Aloe + Green Tea
[I already had this but wanted another one]
Seaweed Bubble Bath + Shower Gel
Enzyme Cleansing Gel
[This is a re-purchase for me + and I’ve found that this cleanser was gentle enough to use with my Differin Gel]
A.H.A. Botanical Body Soap
Special Hand Cream w/Vitamin E
[not shown cause it’s in my bag…lol]
Orange Cleansing Soap
Oh and my samples
Almond + Honey Facial Scrub
Bee Pollen Night Cream
Seaweed Night Cream
I wanted to get a good picture before I used anything … but who am I kidding + I’m way to pressed to wait. I’ve tried the Seaweed Shower Gel and I like it + but I’ve only been using it a
few days a week + so at the end of the month I’ll re-post any changes in my skin. It has a nice light scent + lathers really great with my pouffe + and a little goes a long way so I don’t have to keep adding soap. It’s only 8oz. [really wish they had a bigger size] + and I want to get all I can out of this. The hand cream is another one that I just slipped in my bag + it’s not greasy + absorbs well + and makes these working hands look great.
I’ve also started using the sample of the Seaweed Night Cream. Now I’ve tried this before as it was a sample from Ulta Beauty + along with the Vitamin C Serum. When I used them together my skin … sang [seriously]. I know I only have a sample but I’m going to purchase a full size of the Night Cream … Ahora!
This product gives my skin life + you don’t need a lot of it + it also has a light scent + and keep in mind that it’s night cream so it’s a little heavy but not greasy [I know my acne sufferers are always worried about too much oil]. Your skin will drink this in at night. When I wake up my skin feels wonderful + and as I get older I’m sticking to my regimen of really taking better care of it.
Mind you this is only a few of the products that they offer so check out the Mario Badescu site. They were having a Memorial day sale with 20% off but if that’s a done deal try this coupon code [PERFECT] to get 15% off your order. It’s from RetailMeNot so if it doesn’t work check the site. You also get free shipping on U.S. orders of $35. Plus you get to pick some really great samples.
Thanks so much for stopping by today + don’t forget to “comment” + “like” + and “follow”.
want need to get some rest + now when I say this I know a lot people assume that a vacation is rest … but is it really. What is true R & R + are you on a beach + at a resort + in the mountains + being in the woods with nature … I guess it depends on the person. I have a short trip coming up + but what’s building before this trip is stress. I can honestly say that none of the vacations that I’ve taken over the past 3 years have restful … stressful … but not the other. I get travel anxiety when I’m planning a short trip … getting ready + prepping + packing + making sure my cats are taken care of … etc. I do like a road trip + and I don’t mind driving + but that can be stress in itself. It’s not until I check into where I’m going + or later that evening do I start to decompress.
I was just mentioning to a friend that 1 day off work is not a vacation + or what I deem a vacation should be. It takes me at least 2-days just to decompress from my workplace. To not think about emails + or what people need + or what meetings are happening .. to just melt into my space + and forget about schedules + and obligations. By day 3 I’m starting to feel good + by day 6 … it’s a vacation and I’m at ease + and then by day 8 my anxiety flares because I know that I have to zap back to reality. Back to that grind + back to that mindless thinking. I’m at a point now where I can’t remember doing things because I’m on auto-pilot 60% of the time.
I want to really kick back and not have to worry about the time + do some window shopping + maybe take in a massage + or work on a DIY project or a craft because those tasks use the other side of your brain + your creative non-practical side. Rest and relaxation are the keys to a healthy lifestyle + and rest doesn’t mean sleep. Yes you need to eat clean and take care of your body … that is crucial + but the body can’t live without the mind [lol] + and my mind needs rest because the mind is always working … even when you sleep. I will find ways to make my smaller trips less stressful + to stop … breath and just relax. I want to live life … not stress about it. Otherwise what is it all for + and that’s a whole other post my friends. [know thyself]
So I will close this post today + thanks so much for spending a little part of your Sunday with me + and don’t forget to “Like” + and “Follow”. Have a great … non-stressful week + and enjoy your holiday.
I can’t believe how fast Spring is whizzing by … I only have a few more recipes for my “Spring Libations” series. This one looks so refreshing and light. This could be great for brunch + girls night + or a family gathering.
